asmoke vs traeger1

There are a lot of models for a pellet grill, and many brands are competing with each other in the pellet grill market. Asmoke is the new entrant of the pellet grill market. Asmoke provides all the necessary features at a very reasonable price. Traeger manufactures high-quality grills, but the only drawback of Traeger grills is that they are much expensive. You can see a lot of brands providing the pellet grill at low prices than Traeger. Asmoke is one of them.

In this comparison, I will compare both brands with each other. I have selected one model of Asmoke to compare its features with the Traeger grill model. These models are Asmoke AS350portable wood pellet grill with Traeger grill Ranger.

Brands introduction

Asmoke

Asmoke is the new player in the pellet grill market. They are making the grilling equipment more convenient. Therefore, they have decided to manufacture their grills. Asmoke manufactured a line of portable and high-grade grills that can meet the different needs of customers, but these all grills have similar features and technologies.

Traeger

Joe Traeger designed the first Traeger pellet grill in 1985. After that, he introduced many pellet grills and used three position controllers with low medium and high-temperature settings. The Traeger pro series is the top-selling grill.

The Traeger grill requires less maintenance and clean-up. Traeger grill gives you the freedom to bake, braise, smoke, roast, and grill. Traeger grills are striving to bring innovation and advanced technology to their pellet grill.

Asmoke vs Traeger: Comparison

We’ll compare two popular brands of pellet grills – Traeger and Asmoke. We’ll look at the features of each grill and help you decide which one is best for your needs. Stay tuned!

Cooking area

AS350 offers you a grilling area of 256 square inches. This area is large enough to cook 3-4 racks of ribs, eight burgers, and a whole chicken. This area is majestic for a portable pellet grill.

In Traeger Ranger, the cooking surface of 184 square inches is given. This grill can accommodate one rack of ribs, six burgers, and 10 hotdogs. Both pellet grills have porcelain-coated cooking grates, which are non-stick and easy to clean. So Asmoke AS350 comes with a large cooking surface to cook a large quantity of food.

Hopper capacity

The pellet hopper capacity of AS350 is 4lbs, and in larger, this capacity is 8lbs. It means the Ranger cooks food for a long time without the need of refilling with wood pellets. In AS350, you have to fill the pellet after some time due to the small size pellet hopper.

Temperature

The Asmoke AS350 has a temperature range of 180°F to 500°F. Although this temperature range is not good enough to get sear on a steak, it is an efficient temperature range to meet our cooking needs.

In Traeger Ranger, a keep warm button is given that allows setting the temperature at 165°. The maximum temperature limit of 450°. The AS350 has a maximum temperature of 500°F.

Temperature control

In AS350, there is also a button of smoke setting means you can adjust the smoke level. The controller also has a pellet prime button and a meat probe. The temperature can be changed with an increment of 25-50F.

The Traeger Ranger has an ignition button and a warm mode button with an arrow button. You can increase or decrease the temperature level with an increment of 5°.

The LCD shows you time and temperature and also informs you when the warm mode is switched on and when the meat probe is connected.

I like the digital Arc control button of Traeger Ranger because it gives you more precise temperature control options.

Cleaning

I like the new feature of Asmoke AS350 to collect grease and oil. It comes with an ASCA system for auto cleanout of ashes on the bottom tray. You do not need to spend time vacuuming out the ash again.

In Traeger Ranger, a drip tray is placed at the bottom of the grill. You have to clean the removable drip tray at the end of each cooking session.
